Creating Alerts
Alerts help you stay informed about critical changes in sensor data, enabling quick responses to potential issues. Whether you're monitoring temperature, humidity, or tank levels, setting up alerts ensures you're notified when specific conditions occur.
To create new Alert navigate to Alert settings
Add a New Alert
- Alert Message: Enter a brief and descriptive name for the alert (Overheating warning, Low tank level)
- Description: Provide more detail about the alert's purpose
Define the Rule for Activation
Specify the condition that will trigger the alert
Parameter: Select the parameter to monitor (Temperature, Volume, Humidity)
Condition: Define the threshold using operators like >
, <
, or =
(Temperature > 80°C or Tank Volume < 10%)
Example: If you’re monitoring a water tank, you could set Tank Volume < 25L to be notified when the water level gets critically low
Define the Rule for Reactivation Set the conditions for when the alert should reset or deactivate to avoid repeated notifications. Reactivation rules define the criteria that signal the sensor to return to its initial state. Parameter: Choose the same or a related parameter (Temperature, Volume, or Humidity) Condition: Define the threshold for resetting the alert (Tank Volume > 30L)
Example: For a water tank, you might set the rule for reactivation as Tank Volume > 30L to ensure the alert resets once the water level has been sufficiently refilled above the critical threshold.
